Brand South Africa today joined the chorus of voices congratulating the Class of 2016 on its improved performance in the 2016 national senior certificate examinations.
Brand South Africa CEO Dr Kingsley Makhubela said, “We commend the teachers, learners, parents and families on the improved performance of the Class of 2016 in the national senior certificate examinations. You collectively attest to the South African spirit of resilience and the results which can be achieved when we work together.”
“These results resonate with South Africa’s improved performance in the 2016 World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Index pillar of education and health. South Africa improved its performance for the third consecutive year.”
“A country’s global competitiveness is determined in large part by its level of education and we are pleased that South Africa’s education system is enabling a steady reversal of historical trends. This bodes well for the sustainable progress of our Nation Brand’s competitiveness.”
“We wish the Class of 2016 well as you embark on the next phase of your lives. We invite you to play your part to build our country’s global competitiveness. This depends on the cumulative efforts of each citizen and contributes to a positive reputation for our Nation Brand,” concluded Dr Makhubela.
