Two men, aged 24 and 26, are expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday for allegedly killing an off-duty policeman in 2014.
It is alleged that in July 2014, the two, Charles Nqaba and Jabulani Mkaba, found Constable Devon Hattingh, who was provide security escort a truck to Motherwell, Port Elizabeth, and shot at him.
Two police officers, who patrolling the area, arrived at the scene of the incident and opened fire resulting in the two fleeing the scene.
Police later managed to arrest Nqaba as well as Mkaba.
The duo faces charges of murder, attempted murder and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
