Dylan Passet (21), awaiting sentence after he pleaded guilty to a string of house robberies in December, has returned to court to face a further two counts, says a Weekend Post report.
This time it is alleged Passet stole firearms, electronics and other valuables in order to fuel his drug habit. A self-confessed struggling drug addict, Passet appeared in the St Albans Prison Court over a break-in at a house in October 2011, followed by one at in September last year. Passet already faces a prescribed minimum sentence of 20 years in prison after he was convicted in the Port Elizabeth Regional Court on 21 December on eight counts, including housebreaking with intent to rob and robbery, kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. After a brief appearance in the latest case, the prosecutor asked for a postponement so that Passet could first be sentenced in the case before the Regional Court. The matter before the St Albans court was postponed to 28 February.
