The Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) will be holding a peaceful poster protest tomorrow in support of Andisiwe Andy Kawa, a Johannesburg businesswoman who is still looking for justice after she was gang raped by five men in 2010, only to see the case against her suspected assailants dropped due to lack of evidence.
Although the rape charges were withdrawn, Mzwandile Jakabula still faces a charge of theft in connection with the items stolen from Andy Kawa’s car.
DAWN strongly feels that the rape perpetrators must be brought to book for this terrible crime. The case is being heard tomorrow.
