PORT ELIZABETH – The Democratic Alliance and the ANC have blamed each other for the violence at a council meeting in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Thursday’s meeting ended in chaos.
Two shots were heard during the confrontation.
Reports indicate that one councillor was hit on the head with a glass jar.

Police had to escort everyone out of the chamber.
Emergency services carried two members on stretchers.
