“When our first democratically elected government decided to make Heritage Day one of our national holidays days, we did so because we knew that our rich and varied cultural heritage has a profound power to help build our new nation.” – President Nelson Mandela, 1996.
The Democratic Alliance of the Nelson Mandela Bay region will be celebrating the “rich and varied cultural heritage” upon which it draws to make it a political home for ALL South Africans, and evidently the only South African political party to be growing amongst all communities. The DA will also be celebrating it’s “profound power” to be a robust opposition, and to constitute a future local, provincial and national government.
The celebration will be led by the dedicated DA activist and former ANC Premier of the Eastern Cape Nosimo Balindlela.

- Date: 24 September 2013
