Blasting next to the R61 in the Eastern Cape by Port Elizabeth – MyPR:
18 May 2016: Blasting will take place in a cutting next to the R61 national route, between Baziya and Mthatha Airport tomorrow, Thursday, 19 May between 3pm and 3:15pm.
The blast will take place between the Km34+300 and Km34+800 road markers and will last for about 15 minutes.
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify road users that the passage along the route will be blocked and the road will be closed for about 15 minutes.
“Motorist must please plan their trips accordingly and use caution when travelling on the road,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL Southern Regional Manager.
SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
