The 24th Castle Lager East Cape Biltong Festival on 18 and 19 July 2014 is set to warm the hearts of every family member.
This Blue Crane Route Municipal festival takes place from 18 to 19 July 2014 and promises an experience that will definitely warm the hearts (and stomachs) and chase the winter blues away. In the middle of winter everything is cold and dreary… except for the happenings in Somerset East, a quaint town in the heart of the Eastern Cape.
This year’s festival will be a mix of the new and the old with artists like Oskido, Heavy-k, Theuns Jordaan , Henk Grimsell and Arno Jordaan all set to grace the Castle Lager stage. These authentically South African artists along with performances by Eastern Cape based outfits such as Take Note, Point 5 and Chapter three will be setting the Karoo alight, making this year’s Festival an event not to be missed this winter.
Along with the above music, which will definitely persuade you to clap your hands and stomp your feet, the Festival is also readying itself for some delectable activities that will get the taste buds singing. The Festival further boasts a cosy Beer Tent and over 200 stalls for all to enjoy, from biltong to all sorts of gadgets, clothes and edibles. Parents can also look forward to entertaining their kids with Popsi the Clown and various carnival rides.
Engage all your senses this winter and join us at the foot of the Boschberg Mountain for great winter family fun.
