With only a week before the Momentum One Day International between South Africa and Pakistan to be hosted at Axxess St George’s on Wednesday 27 November, Adrian Carter Head Groundsman, is making sure the grounds and more importantly the pitch is in tip top shape for this big match.
“The highlight of the season is when our facilities are showcased around the world – it is always good to showcase Port Elizabeth and Axxess St George’s as a world class sporting venue. The long term weather forecast looks good and I can’t foresee any obstacles. This is the same pitch that the Warriors played on against the Dolphins which was a high scoring match so I am looking forward to a good contest on Wednesday.”
The gates for the match will open at 08:00 on Wednesday and we remind fans that the following items are not allowed into the ground – alcohol, glass containers of any kind, gas braai’s, beach umbrella’s, weapons, reclining deck chairs with footstool. For a fun day out with the family you may bring in picnic baskets with snacks and cooldrinks in plastic containers.
