Avidan Management, one of the region’s foremost owners and managers of industrial and commercial real estate, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has renewed its lease at 1201 Corbin Street in Elizabeth, N.J.
The government agency has signed an 18-month lease to occupy 3,020 square feet at the 44,000-square-foot office building, which is located in the heart of Port Elizabeth/Newark and close to Newark Liberty International Airport.
“Offering direct access to the Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Elizabeth/Newark, 1201 Corbin is an ideal home for the FDA’s regional office,” stated Avi Avidan, Managing Member of Avidan Management. “As we continue to seek tenants of this high caliber, we will remain steadfast in our commitment to reinvesting in our properties as a way to ensure they remain at the best-in-class level that Avidan has come to be known for and that quality tenants continue to seek.”
A modern building, 1201 Corbin Street is leased to various tenants who are active in the import/export and transportation industries. Built in 1972 and renovated in 2010, a major portion of the building is currently occupied by government agencies; in addition to the FDA, the building is home to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
