Bridge Street Brewery will saying “goodbye for now” to Charlie Finch at his official send-off party on Friday, 3 February at 18:00 where he will be performing his last gig, before his big move to Johannesburg, to further his music career.
Port Elizabeth‘s much loved local singer/songwriter started his music career in 2012 by performing at local venues in and around Port Elizabeth. His love for music began in high school where he went on to study a bachelor degree in music (BMus) at NMMU. His move to the “City of Gold” has been a decision made with mixed feelings as he leaves his home town behind to hit the big time in the music industry.
“The support you have shown me over the past 4 years has been absolutely incredible. Thank you so much to each and every person who has listened, liked or attended my shows. Port Elizabeth you will be missed…” was what Charlie had to say when asked how he felt about saying goodbye to Bridge Street Brewery and the Friendly City.
Charlie Finch has opened for bands such as Prime Circle, Freshly Ground, Dan Patlansky, Desmond and the Tutus, Al Bairre and Gangs of Ballet to name a few. In July he recorded his debut Album “Life’s Journey” with Little Big studios, with the release date being mid 2017. His first single “If I Ever Let You Down” was released on radio stations in the Eastern Cape and Pretoria, making it to No. 2 on the Algoa FM top 30 within weeks of being released.
