Spring bounced back to the Bay in full force with perfect sunny-beach-day weather lately. Gone is the need to cup your hands around a steaming mug of hot chocolate, cover yourself in layers and curl up in front of a fireplace under heaps of blankets.
It is Spring, it is almost Summer and the outdoor season is here!

If there is one thing that Nelson Mandela Bay has no shortage of, it is adrenaline activities. We honestly have it all; activities for the adrenaline junkies and the adventure seekers, activities for young, old, the fearless as well as things to do for the cautious thrill seekers.
Don’t fret or fear about the costs; besides our unspoiled blue flag beaches where dolphins frolic in the distance and other free activities to do in and around the Bay, the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism Pass will help you to experience adventures without breaking the bank.
The Nelson Mandela Tourism Pass provides you with free access to a variety of attractions and activities in and around Nelson Mandela Bay. There are two types of passes; the highly popular 5-in-1 NMB Pass which allows you to choose ANY 5 of the activities listed, and then there is also the NMB Unlimited Itinerary Pass which are valid for either 1 day, 2 days, 3 days or 7 days (depending on your purchase).
If you think this pass is only for the out-of-towners, think again. The listed activities go as far West as Monkey Land, Birds of Eden and Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay and if you want to travel East, you can visit Addo Elephant National Park as well as Kuzuko Lodge.
But that’s not all!
There is still a world of possibilities to experience in the Bay with access to museums, nature-based activities, tours and of course, the adrenaline activities.
Interested? Of course! Click here to see the NMB Pass prices.
What are you waiting for? You know you want to (and your whole family wants to as well).
Activate the adrenaline and take adventure to the next level with a spring in your step this season.
A Matter of Heights
Buckle up and face your fear of heights! With your NMB Pass Card you get a free ziplining experience on South Africa’s longest double zipline, valued at R300.
Adrenaline Addo also offer other – more relaxed – experiences such the Giant Swing (R150) and a Canoe Trail (R100) and there is also a jungle gym, and mini zipline on site for the youngsters as well as a café overlooking the Sundays River.
Paintball is not only suitable for teambuilding but it can be great fun for families, friends and special events. With your NMB Pass Card you get a free painting outing including all gear with 100 paintballs.
Paintball Heaven has two fields – one in Walmer Port Elizabeth and one in Kruisrivier, Uitenhage – and players can enjoy on-site refreshments and braai facilities.
If you want to experience your adrenaline rush from the comfort of a vehicle then the Nelson Mandela Bay Pass got you covered from head to toe, safely and secured.
Head over to Kragga Kamma Game Park on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth (entrance is for free with the NMB Pass), visit Addo Elephant National Park and enjoy the vast open spaces and plethora of wildlife (you get a free day visit with the NMB Pass) or, if you want to head a bit further north-east, visit Kuzuko Lodge where you’ll get the incredible opportunity to see the famous lion, Sylvester (as well as other predators and smaller game) on a game drive with an experienced guide (the NMB Pass offers you a free game drive as well as lunch from Kuzuko Lodge’s deck menu).
