It is significant to note the two different messages from two different men serving two different masters and ideologies – Mzwandile Masina sent a message to White South Africans one day and the next Julius Malema sent a different and more conciliatory message to ALL South Africans. See video’s below.
Compare and contrast the two ‘audiences’ – fat cats vs ordinary citizens. Watch as the fat cats laugh and preen and the ordinary citizens come together dancing, united and determined.
Now if there were only TWO parties in the running for election – Mzwandile Masina’s ANC and Julius Malema’s EFF there would be no prizes for guessing who would win hands down.
Mzwandile Masina, Ekurhuleni Mayor, sent a message to White South Africans:
“Now this thing of being shown the middle finger by White people everywhere because they have gained a new confidence must come to an end. We are not going to relent from building a non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous South Africa because of few individuals including their friends in Save South Africa. Save South Africa? Save it from what? President Zuma is not elected by a bunch of CEO’s and Boards of Companies, he is elected by ordinary citizens of this country that is why we will defend our organisation.”
“We want to request them nicely – Don’t divide our nation, because if you continue to do so those that those who sided with you in 1990 won’t be here in 5 years, it might be very rough and we are many. This is not a threat, we are many and it might be very very rough.”
“So this appeal is to all the White South Africans to understand that their issue of nation building and social cohesion requires all of us not these insults that we get from Social Media where we must be quiet as if there is some Baas somewhere – that time has come to an end.”
Julius Malema sings from a different hymn sheet:
“If you call us racist we are proud racists, because we don’t want this man here. If not wanting Zuma is racism then we are racist.”
“If anyone finances a fight against corruption, that person is a patriot.”
“We don’t care if you are White or Black or Indian, we are here to defend the future of our country for our children.”
