Help Hannah Hear invites you dust off your glass slippers, dig out those suits and party dresses and prepare to dance the night away at their Valentines Ball.
This glamorous event, hosted by Thatchwoods (Homeleigh Farm) is in aid of Hannah Denise Marshall, born 24 November 2010, who has been diagnosed with both severe hearing loss and Nystagmus, a condition which causes her eyes to “swing,” much like a pendulum. Hannah has been approved to get two cochlear implants, which promise to give this little girl a new lease on life. Without the cochlear implants Hannah will never learn to talk properly, and will be developmentally delayed. The costs of the procedures, after the medical aid contribution, exceeds R150 000, and Hannah’s parents are leaving no stone unturned to raise the funds needed to give little Hannah the gift of hearing.
Thatchwoods will serve you a mouthwatering 3 course meal; a starter of slow roasted black mushrooms stuffed with spinach and feta, a main comprised of roast lamb with rosemary and red wine jus, honey glazed gammon with creamy mustard sauce, roast potatoes and veg. And lastly tantalize your taste buds with a chocolate brownie drenched in fudge sauce and served with ice-cream.
After dinner DJ Mike Marshall will get you moving on the dance floor, and an event photographer will be available for those of you wanting to capture those special moments with your valentine.
The Valentine’s ball is being held on Friday 10 February 2012 at 19h00, at Thatchwoods and tickets can be bought for R160 from Cathrin on 079 676 6487. Dress code is smart to formal. Cash bar available.
