I watched the minute hand strike 12 midday today and braced myself for the slow whoosh of power leaving Group 6 only to see that nothing was shed. (See: Eskom has announced STAGE 1 LOADSHEDDING)
“Oh joy,” I thought to myself, “it looks like Eskom have found a little bit of power somewhere.” How wrong could I be as Group 6 began load shedding at 14h00 jolting everyone into the knowledge that we had swerved Stage 1 and blundered straight into Stage 2.
Anyway the heads up about Stage 2 came from the pen of Roland Williams at 16:08 today and Roly told us; “The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality regrets to inform you that, due to demand having exceeded supply, Eskom has announced LOAD-SHEDDING STAGE 2 which will commence at 16:00 (4pm) today.”
WRONG – it was implemented from 12:00 today at least, my son!
- Groups 1 and 8 will be off from 16:00 to 18:30
- Group 2 will be off from 18:00 to 20:30
- Group 3 and 4 will be off from 20:00 to 22:30
Roly requests all residents to; “please switch off geysers when not in use and pool pumps, in addition to using electricity sparingly, in order to obviate any further Load-shedding or escalation to Stages 3 and 4.” and thanks all residents for their cooperation in this regard.
And now the queries for Off-Grid Solar PV Installations have escalated somewhat.
