1878: A Storm in A Teacup

One of the most amusing cases heard in the old Court House was that of Mr O’Donnell versus the Reverend A.T. Wirgman. The clever cartoon above appeared in the ‘Observer Newspaper’ of those days and summed the ridiculous affair up.
At the conclusion of the case O’Donnell was awarded ten pounds damages with costs.
